Tesla
Tesla Optimus
Optimus is the most-marketed humanoid on the planet and, at the same time, the one you can't buy. Tesla builds it for its own factories first, with a promised price of $20,000–$30,000 “once production scales” and dates that have been slipping for years.
Its real edge is Tesla's production machine: if anyone can build humanoids by the millions, it's a car company. Until there's an official date and price, treat it as what it is: the sector's most important announcement, not a product.
The good
- Manufacturing scale no one else has
- Integration with Tesla's AI stack
- Aggressive target price if it holds
The bad
- Can't be bought or reserved
- Track record of missed dates
- Demos with human assistance not always disclosed
