How we rate

Every robot gets a 0–10 score combining four criteria: real capabilities (what it does today, not what the marketing video promises), value for money, real availability (being actually buyable earns points; selling hype loses them) and ecosystem (software, support, community and accessories).

We penalize undisclosed teleoperated demos, missed dates and 'estimated' prices that go unconfirmed for years. A robot you can buy today always starts ahead of one that only exists in keynotes.

Some links on this site are or will be affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That doesn't move the scores by a single decimal.
